BreakNeck BattleTanks
3D Top down Arcade Shooter | Unity | Team of 5 | Project Manager & Gameplay Programmer
Project Overview
Breakneck Battle Tank (BBT) is a single player toy themed, 3D top down arcade shooter, where the player will take the role as the last tank standing from his squad of toy tanks, and must continue through the onslaught of enemy tanks through different stages trying to complete the mission in taking out the enemies Boss.
The project was developed as part of a team and focused heavily on gameplay systems, encounter design, and environmental interaction.
Roles Played:
Project Manager & Gameplay Programmer
As Project Manager, I led a team of five developers, coordinating development milestones, managing team communication, maintaining production schedules, and ensuring delivery of project goals. I also acted as the primary point of contact for the team and represented the project during presentations and showcases.
As Gameplay Programmer, I was responsible for implementing core gameplay systems in Unity, focusing on combat interactions, environmental gameplay, and encounter design.

Technical Challenges
Arena Locking & Encounter Control
One of the key challenges was ensuring players remained engaged within combat arenas until all enemies were defeated. This was solved by implementing a dynamic arena lock-in system that controlled player movement boundaries and enemy spawn triggers, ensuring consistent encounter pacing and structured gameplay flow.
Destructible Environment Interaction
Environmental objects needed to interact consistently with projectile systems while maintaining performance and clarity. A modular destruction and cleanup system was implemented to ensure objects responded correctly to player actions without leaving persistent clutter in the game world.
